'epic' pokemon battle

I and my cousin decided to try defeat the second gym and Eterna(in platinum). Yeah, and we lost.

Epic battle:
1)monferno was paraylzed before the battle started
2)staravia only lasted to turns(crtitical hit)
3)riolu did nothing(wont obey me 'cause come from trade)
4)and gastly cursed itself to 'death'
